I'm really going to have to get my head round this shortly to prepare for teaching it after Xmas. Is anyone currently teaching this? Does anyone have an outline scheme of work or any lesson plans etc that I could pinch and adapt? You know its always easier starting with something than starting from scratch! Aim to share when I've done!

Local conflict- Carsington Wind Farm, Derbyshire (on edge of Peak District) attached task sheet. The protest group's website is a fantastic resource. The appeal was turned down so the wind farm will go ahead but building has not yet begun.
I have added some resources put together last yr for a yr 9 role play on this but they include some useful info
Local paper's response to the verdict to the wind farm at Carsington- clear NIMBY aspect to some of the quotes. This also featured on the politics show where an outdoor debate was held at Carsington on a very windy day!

'Take your students around the world with these six clips, available to be used as lesson starters in the classroom.
This Global Citizenship programme features different aspects of emergency relief and other aspects of work by the International Red Cross.
The clips include child soldiers in Sierra Leone, disaster prevention in Bangladesh, delivering aid in Afghanistan and aiding landmine victims in Bosnia.'
