Is anyone thinking of this?

I was thinking of doing this instead of the fieldwork. After the AS exam, not sure how many will take it next year and if they are left to do some fieldwork this term they may have switched off a bit after some came out of the xam not too happy.

Has this exam got previous ( we are new to AQA this year?). If so I would be very interested in people's views. Also do you know if there is a January entry?

Would be good to know exactly if there is January entry. Have looked on the AQA website but couldn't see anything definite so have sent a question to Ask AQA. It would be know if anyone has done anything similar to this to get people'e views/

Hi - Just looked in the spec booklet and says that pre-release material will be released on 1st November for Jan exams so I guess it is a definite!

Thanks for that. Just seen it myself. Might try and teach 1 HUman and 1 physical topic from now until November, do the Issue Evaluation and then do another Human and Physical topic after January. Not sure if the timing will allow it but it will spread the exams out after the 3 hour marathon this year

I was thinking along the same lines - we have just over 5 hours a week at A2 so am hoping to give the students a choice of 4 topics. Will get some things on here once I've got my head in gear! I used to do a similar paper with edexcel B so will dust my files off and see what I have got...

Unit 3 and Unit 4 will not be in the same sitting as it would exceed the maximum time (3 hours?), so even if you did opt for both exams in June, they would be on different days.

i'm plannig to use exactly the same timings. Always worked well in the past.

HI, Just thinking about the A2 and was thinking of covering one Physical and two human units- do you think this is a bit sparse. However after judging from the opinions from the current cohort I may not have to worry about an A2 class.

I was thinking of only doing 3 too (1 human, 2 physical). In addition to 4B in Jan. However, if we get through it quickly, will do a 2nd human one.

The only problem with doing 3 is that the human option (in your case) will have to be the structured question and not the essay in Section C.
