We'll deifnately be doing this one, replaces Managing Cities unit from the previous AQA A A Level so easy to transfer things across.

We're doing this too but have never taught this at A level. Started thinking about it yesterday and will post resources and SoW when I've had a bit of a think!

I have let my students choose the two human options we will cover and this was the outright favourite. I think they are hoping for a fieldtrip to NY! We will be using the old Bowen and Pallister AS and A2 text books to help with this. However, I did go on a really interesting fieldwork day to Manchester last March on rebranding and regeneration of Manchester CBD with Prof M Bradford which I will be using and taking the students on. We got lots of photos and resources so if anyone wants them I can download them.

This would be fantastic for me please; also doing the spec but despite living in Cumberland I have never been to Machester - shamful. Obvious first choice of nationally iportsnt city. I was baout to start from scratch. Let me know if I can help with patching together.

Sorry it has taken so long to reply - the pdf is a summary of the walk taken with Prof Bradford. Have lots of photos will try an attach them somehow to the area.

Just looking at the spec for this topic. There doesn't seem to be a great deal of guidance to go on. A few concepts and then the time guidance of 17 hours!! I am new to AQA so was wondering if anyone had anyideas from previous specs? Also are there any text books out yet for A2, does any one know?

spoke to company I have ordered from- publication date is now last week in May (25th I think), also a teacher's guide coming out for the A2 course/ textbook
